I read a book about gender selection that claims the following: (is it true?)?

Author: you should BD everyday from the end of AF to 48hrs before you ovulate to conceive. I know sperm can live a few days inside you, but after searching the chart gallery on a fertility site several times I can’t find a single person who conceived that stopped having sex 48hrs before ovulation!
Is it possable? Have any of you do this?

It’s possible but why would you wanna lower your chances of getting pregnant. I would BD till the cow’s come home!!!
i don’t know if it has anything to do with gender selection but i had sex 3 and 5 days after i started my period and i ovulated on the 8th day and i am pregnant.
We just had sex every day except for when I had my period to try to get pregnant as fast as possible! If you really want to get pregnant…that is probably the best thing to do…at least that is what my doctor recommended!!
romour is for a girl have sex 3 days before ovulation and uptil ovulation day…..the female sperm are stronger swimers and reach the egg when it is further back down the tube.. and for a boy have sex on your ovulation day and the days after as they have more of a chance at reaching the egg…..i have a bot and a girl… but i do believe it all depends on which little spermie gets there and it was just pot luck for me…altho i did do the above

We BD everyday of the month..lol and I got pregnant pretty quick.
If it were me I would just keep on BD, after all, it can’t hurt your chances any

i had an early ultrasound, (they are VERY accurate on what day you concieved, since the embro grows a significint amount each day)
and my conception date is 5 days after i last had sex, so even if it was off by one or two days, thats still 3-4 days after i had sex.
so yes it is possible.
the funny thing about it is, i was TTC but that month i was moving and very busy, so we only had sex two different days that month, and the months before we did it everyday and i didnt get pregnant haha!
OH and i’m pregnant with a boy. and i have always heard that girl sperm lives longer but swims slower, and boy sperm lives shorter but swims faster. meaning that if you have sex a few days before ovulation you will have a girl, but if you have sex the day before or day of you will have a boy. so thats even stranger cause i’m def having a boy, i had two different ultrasounds tell me, and they werent on the same day.
hey there, ive had four pregnancies, all concieved in the first month. all different sexual frequency,
my first, we bd twice a day every day, because it was fun and had a girl.
second one we bd everyday and twice around ovulation, concieved a boy,
third baby, we bd much less because baby number two was still born, but i made sure we bd on ovulation day, and had a boy.
this time round bd nearly everyday the whole month, i think we lay off mabey two days of the month, and am currently 10 and a half wks preg
i think that not worring to much and having fun helps the quick conception.
